1) Who this policy applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to the MikissMood mobile application and related services (the “Service”) provided by MikissMood Team (“we”, “us”, “our”).

The Service is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us.

2) Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide: name, username, email address; customer support messages and attachments you choose to send; and content you create in the app (such as goals, milestones, and reflections).
  • Information collected automatically: device information (model, OS, language, time zone, app version, device identifiers as permitted by your settings); usage analytics; performance metrics; and crash logs.
  • Location (only with your permission): approximate or precise location, depending on the permission you grant.

3) Cookies & similar technologies

If the Service includes web views, a website, or web-enabled components, we may use cookies and similar technologies (which may include web beacons) to support login, preferences, and basic analytics. You can control cookies via your browser settings and, where applicable, your device settings.

4) AI-assisted features (optional)

MikissMood may offer optional AI-assisted features (for example, generating summaries, prompts, or other outputs from text and/or images you choose to provide). You decide whether to use these features.

  • Processed on our own servers: inputs you upload for AI processing are processed on MikissMood Team’s own servers.
  • No third-party sharing: we do not share your uploaded AI inputs with any third party for AI processing.
  • Deleted after processing: we delete uploaded AI inputs promptly after generating the requested output (subject to short-lived technical buffering and security logging).
  • Not used for training/marketing: we do not use your uploaded AI inputs to train models, and we do not use them for targeted advertising.

5) Photos / face data

  • No facial recognition: we do not perform facial recognition, biometric identification, or create biometric profiles.
  • One-time processing: if image-based generation is used, it is performed for your specific request and the uploaded images are deleted promptly after processing.
  • Local-first by default: content you create is stored locally on your device unless the Service clearly indicates otherwise (e.g., if you choose to sync or upload).

6) How we use information

  • Provide and maintain the Service (accounts, login, syncing, core features).
  • Personalize your experience and improve the Service.
  • Monitor, debug, and improve reliability (analytics and crash reporting).
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests.
  • Protect security, prevent fraud/abuse, and enforce terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations and lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

7) How we share information

We share information only as needed and only the minimum necessary, in these circumstances:

  • With your consent: when you direct us to share.
  • With service providers (processors): trusted vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, analytics, crash diagnostics, customer support tooling), under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Legal and protection: to comply with law, protect rights and safety, and address fraud/security issues.

8) International transfers

Your information may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.

9) Security

We use reasonable safeguards such as encryption in transit and (where applicable) at rest, access controls, monitoring, periodic audits, and backups. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10) Data retention

  • Account data: while your account is active.
  • After account deletion: deleted or anonymized within 30 days (unless required for legal/security/dispute reasons).
  • Usage analytics: up to 12 months.
  • Support communications: up to 6 months.
  • AI inputs: deleted promptly after processing.

11) Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict/ object to processing, and withdraw consent (including for location). To request these rights, email us at yzudjmeh200148@outlook.com. We will respond within 5 business days (we may ask you to verify your identity).

If you enabled location permissions, you can turn them off anytime in your device settings. Some features may not work without location access.

12) Governing law & dispute resolution

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes related to this Privacy Policy or the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
